Super Update!

A lot has happened lately, some bad, some good and some just doesn't fit anywhere on that spectrum! Cody no longer works for Smith's, and so we lost the van and our phone service and all this happened within a week! The day after Cody stopped working for Smith's he started working for the military! Currently it's only temporary, but we hope to find something permanent from it.

The military job is a great change for us. Cody is happier with his work, he's less grumpy and we have more time together. He actually spent the entire day fixing his motorcycle with David yesterday, and David enjoyed spending so much time with his Daddy. Cody works bizarre hours during the week, but he comes home for three days per weekend and it give us a chance to be a family. :) Good stuff. It also gives me a chance to work on me!

Recently I found out I gained 20 pounds out of nowhere. With my insulin levels being too high and my omega-3 being dangerously low, my blood pressure is in danger again. My depression is worsening from it as well. But as of last week, when Cody began to lose some of his stress and anger, it was easier for us to start doing things as a family, which meant going for walks every day. We've been walking to the library, friends houses, the Ranches, all over. I have also been drinking a lot less soda and taking Iron and Fish Oil with Omega-3 every day. It's all helping, even with my energy levels!

Walking to the library means David gets to pick out his own books, he LOVES reading and us reading to him. So whenever we go to the library he gets excited and is very particular in which books we bring home. He searches the whole time we are there for the perfect ones. He's been having night terrors, though and it kind of worries me. Hopefully they won't last forever though.

With all the changes lately has come another: I am writing again!!! I have started the first in a series I have plans for, and I am even planning on doing NaNoWriMo!!! NaNoWriMo is National Novel Writing Month, where you spend the entire month with a community of people doing the same thing; trying to write a 50,000 word novel. It doesn't have to be perfect, it just has to be more than 50k worth of more than one word over and over again! I am super excited for it, but I need to work on my average words per day.

I have a few people that are pushing me with my novels, and I am SUPER grateful to them! They are so amazing for sticking by me and sticking me to my guns. I am glad I have friends like them. I still miss some of the friends I have lost over the years, but I don't know what to do to fix things between us all. But these friends helping me are who I have realized are the best friends anyone could every ask for. You guys know who you are!

Also, I will be starting an Author's Blog, where I will update on my word progress, nanowrimo stuff, write about different things and just keep trucking with my writing. I think (hope) that's it for now, but I will keep you all posted! I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!

Blast From the Past

Have you ever realized how many friends you "used" to have? Sit at home, remembering "back in the day", or "when everything was awesome"? Been thinking about that a lot lately. I've realized something else, you never keep the friends you once had. You only grow up with a few of them... All of the rest are lost in stupid things, and usually never end up being friends again. It's not awesome.

High school was hell for me. Worst time of my life. But there were a few people (in each highschool I went to) that turned it into something better. Of the three people in that picture with me, only one and I are still on speaking terms. Does that mean that only 1 in 3 friends will be your friend later on?? If that's the case, what's the point?

Stupid things happen. People say stupid things, do stupid things, but it never changes what we once were; friends. And whether we go our separate ways or stay friends, the memories will always be there. What we did for each other, what we did together as friends. None of that will ever change, but it seems none of it will ever happen again either. Maybe one day friends will be more permanent... Maybe not. No one can tell. :(

Hustle Hustle!

Things have been somewhat crazy lately! Between multiple trips to Arizona to scope out the area, moving my mom to Arizona within two days and now we are packing and looking at moving within the next few weeks ourselves, we haven't had much time to just hang around haha! It's super exciting!

Today I will be getting a cyst removed from my finger, how exciting! The doctor is super funny and at one point actually said he'd "take a whack at it" and promptly looked horrified that he's said it haha!

This week will consist of trying to get things done one handed lol! But with my husbands help and the help of all my friends I will get what I need done! =D

On a random aide note we finally got the tempurpedic style king size bed I've always wanted haha! now I sleep like a rock and don't toss and turn as much! And David loves trying to climb the bed, since its twice as tall as him!

He started nursery at church recently and apparently loves hanging out with all the kids and the toys. He's so cute! He has so many new words and games and antics! He's even saying Robbie now lol! Well that's all for now! =)

Well, I see I haven't managed to keep up with this whole blogging thing after all! Lately things have been a little crazy here. I have been working on my crocheting skills, which have gotten much better than they used to be! I am now crocheting scrunchies, beanies, wrist warmers, and working on an afghan! It's not much but it's definitely something to do!

Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years was really boring this year, and kind of depressing. All of my family has scattered through the U.S. lately, and I am left with very few of them here. Most of my friends either think I have become the devil for some reason, or are moving further away from me than they already are with me perched up here on my ass-backwards cold mountain. But it just leaves me to think about how everything changes, and I am bad with change still.

David is growing up WAY too fast. He is now 17 months old, walking, talking, giggling, and learning way too many things. He already knows how to open the gate at the top of the stairs, he knows how to weasel things out of people, and apparently knows how to program things onto my computer. He is wearing 24 month clothes, almost too big for most of his jammies, but is only about 25 lbs. in weight... weird. His favorite color is red, and he likes to scoot around on the giant firetruck we got him for Christmas!

There is a silver lining to all my woes and worries, (yes there are many) however. We are moving to Arizona! Utah is just too cold, depressing and stuffy for me. We are looking into options for where exactly to go, but we will be going once we can get things transferred! So much excitement! Gonna be a busy year for us for sure!
